COLLEGE EDUCATION PROGRAM

 

It is the dream of young boys and girls to one day play soccer at the collegiate / univeristy level, whether its in Canada or the US.

While there are plenty of opportunities for student athletes, the truth is, a large amount of time
and effort must be dedicated in the class room and on the field to achieve a college scholarship.

 

The Force Academy College Program is a combination of programs, partnerships, and opportunities to support the goals of the talented and committed student athlete.

 

COLLEGE SHOWCASES
College Showcase events are key to the exposure of players to candidate coaches and support staff from
Colleges and Universities across the country. Ottawa South United teams participate Annualy in such
exclusive Showcase tournaments such as The Sportsource Showcase In Dallas, The Disney College Showcase in Orlando Florida, Dallas Cup in Dallas Texas, NCAA College Cup Showcase,
Score at the Shore in North Carolina, Dallas Girls International Showcase, PDA Showcase, and the Jefferson Cup in Virginia..

More than 1500 college coaches have had the opportunity to view OSU Academy players at these Showcase Tournaments.

 

COLLEGE PROFILES

The Academy has prepared an online system designed to support the individual student player with the presentation of their Academic and Athletic information.
This profile and roster system is integrated into the tool kit provided to all players within the Force Academy.
The player information entered is available to all college coaches nationwide and is searched on a regular
basis for candidate players.

 

COLLEGE TOURS / VISITS
Force Academy teams also plan annual visits and tours to various College campuses and programs to expose the players within our Academy to the overall experience of playing at the next level.


Additionaly, every year European Pro Club Coaches and College coaches visit the Academy in Ottawa for the purposes of recruiting our players. Read more >>

 

COLLEGE PRESENTATIONS
Various guest speakers that have included members of the Canadian National Team staff, Division I and II and NAIA Coaches present information and offer Q&A sessions available to all OSU players, parents and families.
